Paratge de Tudela

Paratge de Tudela is located in the most easterly part of Spain, right next to France. The place is found in the Cape of Creus Natural Park, right next to Cadaqués, where Salvador Dali set his home. The artist used to say that this was a place created by the GODs, therefore it should remain unspoiled.

Over the centuries, the blowing wind, rain, and salt spray have produced unusual shapes and formations among the rocky terrain that have created this unique, moonlike landscape. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this place where we will learn about its history and nature. Following a marked itinerary, which leads to Culip Beach, we will observe the enigmatic and unusual rock formations that, thanks to the force of the wind, remind us of different figures, such as a camel, a gorilla, a rabbit, an eagle, etc. We will also discover the exact sets that were favorite to Dali, and that inspired him in many of his works.

“This part between the Camel and the Eagle that you know and love as much as I myself is and must continue forever to be pure geology, with nothing that can mix it up; I make it a matter of principle. It is a mythological place that is made for gods rather than men and must continue as it is.”
